I went stalking your page because I wanted my weekly dosage and realized I didn't leave you any comments on this chappie. :( Sorry - this month has been insaaaaaane!!
First of all *tears* I knew this was coming, I knew it was necessary, but I wasn't expecting something quite like this. Poor Kurogane... In regards to your note at the end - I think this is definitely in character for him. He's a complete mush-pot when it comes to his mom and very/overly protective of Tomoyo. The protective urge is really well illustrated in this chapter, and I'm waiting (really, really impatiently) to see whether this version of Kurogane copes or confuses it with an urge to be stronger at any cost like canon Kuro. Either way, I'm sure it will be fantastic.
One thing I will say though, is that it's not clear whether his mom just died right there in front of him or only passed out - maybe you meant it this way...? All the more reason to post MOAR!
